A listed license makes someone eligible to ask—not automatically authorized to perform every modality. Scope, delegation, supervision, and facility requirements must be verified separately.

Build the right course

Begin with the practice, not the equipment list.

  1. What does your practice intend to add?

Define the service line, patient population, available equipment, supervision model, and operational requirements before choosing modalities.

  2. What does your license permit?

Confirm scope and delegation rules with the appropriate authority. Course completion cannot expand a professional license by itself.

  3. What must you perform in training?

Request an individual practical plan: model access, repetitions, assessment criteria, faculty ratio, and the systems assigned to your dates.

Published modality menu

Select depth where your practice needs it.

The current listing names these seven areas but does not publish hours per modality, specific devices, or a minimum selection. Confirm a written training plan.

Laser hair reduction

Client assessment, treatment protocols, safety, and selected hair-reduction systems.

Intense pulsed light

IPL applications chosen for the approved clinical training plan.

Non-ablative skin resurfacing

Treatment planning, contraindications, protocols, and complication context.

CO₂ laser peel

A modality named on the current listing; exact platform and practical depth require confirmation.

Laser facial

Confirm the treatment definition, device, indications, and certificate wording used by SAA.

Tattoo removal

Laser-tattoo principles and practice as approved for the selected course plan.

Radiofrequency treatments

Energy-based treatment education; request the current device and application list.

Shared clinical foundation

Customization still needs a common safety language.

Across the selected modalities, the live course page names online didactic education and hands-on clinical training in the following areas.

  • Laser physics and tissue interaction
  • Patient assessment and treatment planning
  • Safety standards and contraindications
  • Treatment protocols and documentation
  • Complication recognition and management

The live listing describes online didactic education plus hands-on clinical training. It does not publish online hours, campus hours, or a fixed assessment method. Ask for a written plan that names models, dates, and how each selected modality is assessed.

Course outcome

Certificate by selected modality—not blanket authority.

The current page says participants receive certification in selected modalities. SAA must confirm the exact certificate title for each selection, issuing language, assessment standard, and whether continuing-education credit applies.

SAA is accredited by the Arizona Radiation Regulatory Board and NCLC. School accreditation does not replace professional licensing or scope-of-practice review.

Which licenses are currently eligible?

The live listing names RN, NP, PA, MD, DO, and NMD licenses. Admissions should verify that your license is active and that the course plan fits its jurisdiction and scope.

How many modalities can I choose?

The current page lists seven options but does not publish a minimum, maximum, or hour requirement per selection. Request a written plan.

Is this the same as the medical director course?

No. This page is for hands-on modality training. The separate medical director course centers on supervision and oversight of aesthetic services.

Does certification authorize me to add the treatment?

Not by itself. Professional scope, delegation, supervision, facility, device, and insurance requirements remain separate from a school certificate.

What are the hours and tuition?

The live listing does not publish hours or tuition. Ask admissions for a written plan covering online hours, clinical hours, modality pricing, deposit, included materials, and how the school FAQ refund windows apply.
